Our Statement of Faith
God
We believe in one God who is Sovereign, and Creator of all things seen and unseen, who exists eternally in three persons, God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. These three are one in essence but distinct in person and function.
God the Father
We believe the Father transcends human description and natural laws because He is greater than them.
Jesus Christ
We believe that Jesus Christ is God, who became fully man and fully God through His miraculous conception and virgin birth. Jesus Christ led a sinless life and through His death, took away the sin of the world by His shed blood. Jesus Christ rose from the dead in His glorified body and ascended into Heaven and is the Advocate for those who believe in Him to be the Son of God.
Holy Spirit
We believe the Holy Spirit indwells within every faithful believer and gives power to lead an obedient and Christ centered life. It is the power of the Holy Spirit that guides us to live a life like Jesus Christ.
The Bible
We believe the Bible is the Word of God written by men inspired supernaturally by the Holy Spirit. The Bible therefore is inerrant in the original written text and authoritative in all matters.
Sin
We believe Adam and Eve were originally created in the image of God. They sinned by willfully disobeying God and thus were alienated from their Creator. This separation from God caused all humanity to be rebellious, disobedient and spiritually broken. This sin nature separates us from God.
Salvation
Humanity became estranged from God due to sin. The penalty for our sin is death as God is a just God. Salvation is the free gift of God given through the work of Jesus Christ. Salvation is received, not by any works of our own effort, but by our repentance of sin and faith in Christ alone. We believe God’s gift of salvation is for all who place their faith in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.
Christian Living
We believe that God calls us to live out our faith with care for one another, justice for the oppressed, and compassion for the poor. Our lives are to demonstrate the fruit of the Holy Spirit which are love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.
Christ Return
We believe the return of Jesus Christ for all believers (His Church) is imminent. Jesus Christ will return bodily and visibly to judge all mankind and to receive His people to Himself. Those who put their faith, trust and hope in Jesus Christ will spend eternity in fellowship with God in heaven.
